Audria M. Edwards Scholarship Applications Available
Applications for the Audra M. Edwards Scholarships are due by May 1st. Applicants are eligible if the will be pursuing undergraduate education in 2012-13, are LGBT or have an LGBT parent, and have lived for at least 1 year in Oregon or in Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania, or Wahkiakum Counties in SW Washington. Awards will be presented at the 5th annual Peacock After Dark at the Portland Center for the Performing Arts on September 5th, 2012. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com.

April PFLAG Portland Chapter Meeting
Join us to hear from Reid Vanderburgh, MA, LMFT, author of Transition and Beyond: Observations on Gender Identity.
Reid’s book, now in its 2nd printing, has already been widely accepted among trans people and their families. Reid will read from his book and answer questions on a variety of topics related to the transgender experience: the issues trans folk face, spouses/mates/family members, religion, addiction, transition, workplace disclosure, how young is too young?, what “support” looks like, and what “post-transition” means.

April PFLAG Portland Black Chapter Meeting
Our monthly meeting is a chance to meet others from the African-American LGBTQ community and to find out what events are on the horizon for this very active group. Support group offered during meeting. Please NOTE: March’s meeting will remain at its normal location at the John Garlington Center (former home of SMYRC).
